Meet The Team

James Hales
Composer
James is a Welsh composer based in Cardiff. Blending catchy melodies with intricate lyricism, he is passionate about original storytelling through song. An abridged version of his musical Luna was recorded and released online to great reception, building a strong social media following, and selling out concert performances at The Other Palace and Wales Millennium Centre. More recently, his song cycle Afters was showcased at Porter's Theatre, Cardiff, and he is currently developing a new musical with the creative team behind Bonnie & Clyde.

Jen Keating
Playwright
Jen is an award-winning playwright, originally from the Irish midlands but now based in Cardiff. She was previously a founding member of the Nolla Collective theatre company. Her recent writing credits include Outliers (Granary Theatre), and She Waits at the Window (No Touching Theatre Festival/Accidental Theatre). Drawing on her background in psychology, Jen’s writing focuses on the human responses to both the ordinary and the extraordinary.

Katie Dobbins
Producer
Katie is a Cardiff-based producer and actor, working across both stage and screen. She is passionate about building collaborative teams and championing new, original work. Since moving to Cardiff, she has become an active part of the city’s creative community, both behind the scenes and in front of an audience. Recent work includes Teething Problems (666 Challenge winner: Best film), The Y2K Bug (Dir. Michael Karam) and Rent (Seligman Theatre, Chapter).
